The Current Competition:
Design Brief:
We all know the economy is in the dumps. It's basically all everyone talks about. We are told we are in a recession, a depression. Jobs are being cut, bailouts are being made. The housing industry is plummeting and Wall Street is a hot mess. We are focusing this competition on the ECOnomy... Because being green can save you green and can also help save our planet! Using less water and electricity saves you cash on your utility bills and it also preserves our precious water resources and uses less energy. Gas is costly, both to your bank account and to our green house gas problem. As depressing as our current state of affairs may be, let us think optimistically about how we can improve our ECOnomy and preserve nature's resources and beauty while doing it. So if you think planting more trees, riding bikes, growing a vegetable garden, or drinking from water fountains instead of plastic bottles could help save our planet and our bank accounts - draw it! We look forward to seeing how you feel about the ECOnomy and we are hopeful things will soon be on the up and up. This competition is an open call with no set deadline, so submit as early as you're inspired, as we may close the competition at any time if we see a truly inspirational, print-worthy design! If your design wins you will receive $500 and your image will be printed in limited quantities on Green Eyed monster totes! Be Green and Get Some Green!

April 22 marks not only the birth of Ashley (one of the founding sisters of GreenEyedMonster) but also the one day people take time out of their schedules to get down with Mother Earth: Earth Day. The focus of this competition is on WATER. So harness your inner Poseidon and get creative! 71% of the earth's surface is covered by ocean and there are tons of issues surrounding water on our planet... access to clean drinking water, plastic water bottle waste, fertilizer and pesticide runoff into rivers and streams, overfishing, bycatch, coral bleaching, ocean acidification, ice caps melting, droughts, etc. As always, you can be a literal or as abstract as you like. So whether you cry over polar bears or get fired up when you see plastic bottles piled everywhere, put pen to paper and submit it to us! This competition ends on March 31st! If your design wins you will receive $500 and your image printed on limited runs of Green Eyed Monster totes!

THE RULES:
All designs MUST:
• be your own, original artwork;
• be 6 colors max;
• be a max of size 13” x 13”;
• use only one side of the bag.
Designs MUST NOT:
• use gradients or fades;
• have been in other competitions;
• have been used for other companies;
• use any vulgar, crude, or offensive material;
• contain copyrighted material;
• have been published or printed in any form for any purpose.
